Thanks to the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement (KORUS FTA), personal imports from the USA enjoy a higher de minimis threshold of $200 USD (vs. $150 for goods from other countries). Shipments under $200 are exempt from both customs duty and 10% VAT. Additionally, KORUS has eliminated tariffs on over 95% of US consumer and industrial goods.
PCCC Required for All Imports
All individuals importing goods into South Korea must have a Personal Customs Clearance Code (PCCC / 개인통관고유부호) — a unique 13-digit number starting with "P". Apply for free at unipass.customs.go.kr. You must provide your PCCC to Forwardme before we can ship your package to South Korea.
Quantity Limits on Certain Items
