What happens if one item in my Personal Shopper order is out of stock?
When you place a Personal Shopper order through Forwardme, we aim to purchase all of your requested items from the U.S. retailer. However, sometimes an item may go out of stock before the purchase is completed or while the order is being processed.
Here’s what happens in that case:
- The item that is out of stock will be canceled / removed from your Personal Shopper order.
- Forwardme will refund you for that specific item.
- You will receive an email notification explaining which item was canceled and why (for example, “item out of stock at retailer”).
- The rest of your order (items that are still available) will proceed normally.
So your Personal Shopper order is not entirely voided — only the unavailable item is canceled and refunded, unless you choose to cancel the whole order in response.
