Timing is Critical
To be eligible for reimbursement, insurance claims must be filed within specific timeframes. These deadlines are set by our insurance provider and are strictly enforced. Claims submitted after these windows will be automatically denied.
When Should You Submit Your Claim?
The deadline depends on the type of issue you are reporting. Please refer to the table below:
Issue Type | Earliest You Can File | Latest You Can File |
|---|---|---|
Damaged Items | Immediately upon delivery | 30 Days after Shipment |
Stolen (Marked Delivered) | 24 Hours after delivery | 30 Days after Shipment |
Lost | 30 Days after shipment | 90 Days after Shipment |
Key Definitions
- Damaged Items: Any package that arrives with broken, non-functional, or physically compromised contents. You must report this within 30 days and keep all packaging.
- Stolen Packages (Porch Piracy): If your tracking says "Delivered" but the package is nowhere to be found, you must file a claim within 15 days.
- Lost in Transit: A package is considered lost if there has been no tracking movement for at least 30 days. You cannot file earlier than this, but you must not wait longer than 60 or 90 days depending on the destination.
Pro Tip for Success
We highly recommend submitting your claim through the Insurance Claim Form as soon as you notice an issue. Waiting until the last day of the deadline increases the risk of documentation errors that cannot be corrected in time.
