When do I need to use Personal Shopper service?

Use Forwardme’s Personal Shopper when a U.S. store won’t accept your card, blocks shipment to forwarding addresses, or requires U.S. billing.

What is the Personal Shopper service?

Forwardme’s Personal Shopper acts as your U.S.-based buying agent. When you find a product from a U.S. store that you’d like, but the store doesn’t accept your card, requires a U.S. billing address, or refuses to ship to forwarding addresses, Forwardme can purchase the product on your behalf.

Once purchased, the item is shipped from the U.S. to Forwardme’s warehouse, then forwarded to your international address like a normal package.

When should you use the Personal Shopper service?

You should consider using this service in the following situations:

  • The store blocks international card payments — they only accept U.S. credit/debit cards.
  • The store requires the billing address to match the shipping address (i.e. U.S. address).
  • The store disallows shipments to forwarding or freight forwarding addresses.
  • You want a hassle-free purchase when you don’t want to deal with address / payment rejections.

In these cases, instead of risking a failed order, you let Forwardme handle the purchase securely on your behalf.

How it works (simple flow)

  1. You provide Forwardme with the product link, desired color/size, and payment details.
  2. Forwardme’s U.S. team purchases the item from the retailer on your behalf.
  3. The item is sent to Forwardme’s U.S. warehouse.
  4. You select an international shipping method and we forward it to your address.
