Can I request repacking?

You can request repacking to optimize packaging. It’s optional — include your request when preparing your shipment.

Yes — Forwardme accepts repacking requests. If your items arrive in oversized or inefficient packaging, you may ask us to repackage them more neatly before forwarding.

You need to actively request repacking — it won’t be done by default.

Why Request Repacking?

  • To remove excess outer packaging (big boxes, bulky inserts)
  • To reduce air space and make the shipment more compact
  • To lower volumetric weight or overall cost
  • To better protect items by reorganizing packaging

How to Request Repacking in Your Account

To request repacking in Forwardme, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Forwardme account.
  2. Navigate to your Inbox.
  3. Click the “Create Request” button to start your request.
  4. Select the package you want to repack.
  5. Confirm your request.

Once confirmed, Forwardme will handle repacking as per your instruction before shipping.

What If You Don’t Request It?

  • The package stays in its original retailer packaging
  • The size and shape won’t be optimized — possibly leading to higher shipping costs
  • The condition remains exactly as sent, without any changes
